Applying for Tuition support Program(TSP)
Tips for Completing Your TSP-on-the-Web Application |
Please keep in mind the following tips when completing your online TSP application:
|
First, Apply Online for TSP
- The TSP application process begins with the registration with SRB. TSP will use your data as part of your online TSP application.
- Start your Registration with SRB.
Next, Complete Your Online TAP Application
- After completing your registration, begin your online TSP application
immediately using the link on the website, or by clicking here.
- At the start of the process, you will be prompted to get an SRB PIN (Personal Identification Number). You will use your SRB PIN to "sign" your TSP application, check its status or make changes.
- Once you have your SRB PIN, complete your online TSP application. Information from your TSP form and your family's calculated net taxable income will be pre-filled on your online TSP application. Follow the instructions provided.
Paper TAP Instead of Online?
- If you don't apply for tuition aid online, you must get a paper TSP from SRB office, public libraries, or your college’s or University Financial Aid Office.
- Even if you use a paper TSP, you can still do your TSP application online.
- About 3 weeks after mailing your paper TSP, SRB will send you a postcard or e-mail prompting you to get a SRB PIN and complete your TSP application online. Follow the online instructions.
Paper TAP Application Instead of Online?
- Once you've submitted your TSP form, SRB will send an e-mail or postcard with instructions on how to request a paper application, also known as the Express TSP Application (ETA). Information from your TSP and your family's calculated income will be reprinted on your ETA. Review this information, make any necessary corrections, complete any missing items, and then sign and mail using the return envelope.
When Will I Hear About the Status of my TSP Application?
- You can use the quick link at the bottom of most pages on SRB to check the status of your TSP application, at any time.
- If you provide an e-mail address on your TSP form, SRB can use it to tell you about your TSP application or award status, or to ask you for information we need to complete your application. Please be alert to SRB e-mails and respond to any requests or instructions.
- If you do not provide an e-mail address and have an approved status, you will receive a postcard from SRB.
- If you do not provide an e-mail address and have a denied status, you will receive a paper denial notification letter.
What About Applying for TSP in Subsequent Years?
- If you received TSP in the previous year and your application information is unchanged, you may only have to file a Renewal to get TSP in subsequent years. You should review the information on your renewal TSP application and make any necessary corrections, then submit the application.
TSP Application Deadline
- The TSP application deadline is April 30 of the academic year for which aid is sought.
