Job Description
Summary: The Associate Dean of Academic Operations has oversight responsibility for planning and managing critical aspects of the academic delivery of quality education that leads to a meaningful student experience. This position assists with faculty management, delivery of quality education, standards for instructional effectiveness, performance management of faculty, reporting and analytics, working with systems related to faculty and student data, as well as develops and facilitates training programs for academic personnel. The Associate Dean for Academic Operations is responsible for providing the necessary means for faculty to improve their teaching and sustain professional growth.
Incumbent must assure that the EDMC philosophy: quality services to
clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees;
sound economic principles; and environment, which is conducive to
innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying
out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
Key Job Elements:
• Works with systems processes measurements, metrics across the
entire students board that will lead to delivery of quality education and
instruction
• Responsible for process and quality of delivery
• Evaluate faculty hiring procedures that ensure compliance with credential and work experience requirements.
• Develop and present training and professional development programs for faculty.
• Maintains standards related to online and blended delivery of
education, reviews reports related to quality of instruction and works
to ensure compliance with standards.
• Creates actionable plans for improvement based on
metrics/analytic related to quality of instruction, student success and
retention.
• Creates and executes plans for increasing SI ratios for both online and blended class sections.
• Manages the student survey processes and suggests improvements, and follows through on areas for instructional improvement.
• Works with VPAS on academic affairs projects, accreditation
initiatives, and collaborates with online and campus leadership on
improvements in the area of academic affairs and academic operations.
Job Requirements
• Doctoral degree strongly preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of increasingly responsible experience in
Education, with considerable academic management experience, preferably
in a proprietary school setting.
• Fiscal and personnel management experience.
• Project Manager Experience

• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong interpersonal skills with supervisor and staff populations.
• Superior organization, prioritization, and self-motivation skills.
• Strong computer literacy skills with the Microsoft Office Suite.
