Contribute
to fulfilling E-campus mission, primarily by providing instruction,
leadership and representation of fellow students of the core curricular
courses for the Certificate, Bachelor or Master of their respective
courses,
thus laying the foundation for further role development of graduate
students in their subsequent specialty track. Additionally, the
candidate will assist with core class content revisions, ensuring
delivery coherence and quality.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead fellow students in their respective courses both online and on-campus, according to content expertise.
- Evaluate fellow students admission and progression in core learning experiences in accordance with established policies.
- Advise fellow students in achieving the requirements for graduation and/or certification through self-evaluation, career planning and spiritual formation.
- Assist with identifying, analyzing, and resolving faculty and student issues in the online educational environment while maintaining confidentiality of vital information.
- Participate in mentoring, reviewing faculty instruction, and analyzing the end of course surveys to propose continuous quality improvement of course and adjunct faculty performance.
- Ensure coherency of the core curriculum map and alignment of courses with appropriate accrediting and certifying guidelines used in subsequent courses.
- Work with faculty, the Online Coordinators from international institutions, Support Specialists, and designers in the Center for Learning and Innovation (CLI) to keep core course curricula current and evidence-based.
- Participate in program evaluation, analyze and report core courses learning outcomes achievement, and revise courses and instruction accordingly.
- Participate in SON and university committees as elected/appointed.

Responsible for providing quality instruction to students through well prepared online classes, relevant assignments, fair and holistic assessment of learning, clear documentation of student progress, and support of the academic success for at-risk students.
- Teach assigned courses
- Adequately prepare all course materials and lessons. Note preparation time will vary based on instructor experience in teaching that course
- Provide each student with clear course expectations, evaluations and timelines through carefully written topical outlines and approved, standardized syllabus
- Provide Interesting and relevant assignments for students that demonstrate learning outcomes in a real-life setting
- Suitably challenge, engage, serve and communicate with students to encourage their participation and learning while maintaining mutual value and respect
- Complete grade books, final grade sheets, learning assessments and final exam assessments on a timely basis
- Respond to student questions on a timely basis
- Identify and refer at-risk students to specific academic support services
- Ensure course and program learning outcomes are delivered as defined by the syllabus.
- Act as a substitute as needed
- Attend graduation ceremonies each year
- Where applicable, ensure safety and sanitation of all labs, equipment and supplies
- Post and maintain office and classroom schedules
- Participate in and provide feedback to institutional committees and reporting.
- Work with program chair and other appropriate groups on retention activities.

- Assist director of education in program evaluation and planning
- Attend regularly scheduled in-services and discipline specific professional development activities.

Job Description
Summary: The Associate Dean of Academic Operations has oversight responsibility for planning and managing critical aspects of the academic delivery of quality education that leads to a meaningful student experience. This position assists with faculty management, delivery of quality education, standards for instructional effectiveness, performance management of faculty, reporting and analytics, working with systems related to faculty and student data, as well as develops and facilitates training programs for academic personnel. The Associate Dean for Academic Operations is responsible for providing the necessary means for faculty to improve their teaching and sustain professional growth.
Incumbent must assure that the EDMC philosophy: quality services to clients; development, growth, involvement, and recognition of employees; sound economic principles; and environment, which is conducive to innovation, positive thinking and expansion - is considered in carrying out the duties and responsibilities of this position.
