SRB Online Academic Support Program provides the academic assistance required for the each and every student in a convenient, online format.
SRB online course assistance programs are available to anyone, anywhere, for convenient learning on your computer. These programs are completely online versions of on-campus Academic Programs and contain extensive free multimedia lectures available 24 x 7 with downloadable PowerPoint slides, progress quizzes, and a discussion board where you will post answers to assignments, ask questions of your instructor and interact with other learners.

Introduction to Online Learning
To help our students become acclimated to the online learning environment, we offer an "Introduction to online learning” class. This course is an 8-week long class designed to help you take tests, complete discussion boards, write papers and interact with future classmates, all with the goal of helping you build your skills for online learning. Our hands on professors help you be successful by walking you through the steps for each assignment. Successful completion of this class will earn you a three credits course applied to your transcript.
Writing Resources
These Writing Resources will assist you with basic composition and formatting skills. Additional resources are available through the Online writing center(OWC). General writing assistance in the form of presentations and worksheets can be found on the Writing aids portion of the GWC site, as well as a listing of other available Web resources.

Online Library
SRB students have access to more than 73,000 full text journal titles, as well as 105,000 electronic books through the online library. These are excellent resources for writing papers, and they are available to you at our library research portal 24 hours a day, from the convenience of your home or office. If you should happen to need a journal title or a book that is not available from us electronically, we can see if it is available to you in our print collections, or we can borrow it for you from other libraries. Your Online Librarian is ready to help you whenever you need it.

Students are also able to enroll in developmental courses through the Online program to better prepare for academic success. Available developmental courses are listed below. You can register for these courses by contacting an academic advisor, or through the online registration site in New ASIST.

CLST 100: Designed to assist students in their academic adjustment to University. It is part of a special program limited to a select group. Attention is given to goal-setting, organizing for study, time management, textbook mastery, reading comprehension and rate, listening, memory, note-taking, motivation for study, test taking, study strategies in other classes and orientation to University services. Open to all students but required of students who are Accepted on Caution.

CLST 101: Designed to train students in study strategies needed for success in University. Course includes organizing for study, time management, textbook mastery, listening, memory, note taking, motivation for study, reading comprehension and rate, test-taking, and special study strategies for other classes.

ENGL 100: Emphasis on functional grammar, paragraph development, vocabulary building and enrichment reading. Open to all students but required of students who have low scores on national tests or University placement tests. Students must receive at least a "C” to be eligible for ENGL 101. A designated section of ENGL 100 is required for ESL students. This course may not meet the General Education requirement in English.

INFT 110: This course will introduce the student to the operation and use of computers. Specific applications taught include operating systems, word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. In addition, students will learn basic terminology and concepts related to the use of computers in today’s society.

MATH100: A review of basic arithmetic and elementary algebra. Open to all students but required of students with low scores on Liberty University placement tests and inadequate preparation in mathematics. A grade of C or better is required in order to go on to a higher-numbered mathematics course. This course may not be used in meeting General Education requirements in mathematics. (Developmental Math is a component of the Bruckner Learning Center.)
